Who we are

Media Group LLC, the parent company of FM 107 - New Century Radio Station and NTV, was established in 1998. Its core activities include media, radio broadcasting, show entertainment, research and consulting services for business communities of Mongolia.

FM 107 - New Century Radio Station

“FM 107 - New Century Radio Station” works 24 hours a day broadcasting music, news, advertisements, and talk shows. Already in the first year of its existence, the radio station was awarded with the title of “Best Professional FM Station” by the “Mongolian Journalists Union” based on its high quality transmission, professionalism, productivity, successful operation and the great amount of listeners giving appraisals to the radio. FM 107 also cooperates with the World Wide Radio Stations, including Voice of America, Deutsche Welle and Metroit Radio Station (London, UK).

NTV

NTV was established in 2006 as a private TV station located in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia with its focus on entertainment and news. NTV has about 80 employees today. In 2009, NTV started broadcasting nationwide.

Even though the company has operated for only three years, the employees have put in an impressive effort to both the individual and organizational strategies, which resulted in NTV having the largest amount of audience in Ulaanbaatar. In 2008, NTV moved to a new building with state-of-the-art professional equipment and facilities. One of the benefits of this upgrade to the new facility is that the organization was able to broadcast the Beijing Olympic Games and the National Naadam Festival Live. Although NTV is one of the youngest TV stations in the country, its uniqueness and openness has been widely accepted by the audience and has led to us being selected for the “Best for Entertainment” award voted by the viewers.

Mission Statement

The primary objective of the station is to be the best news broadcasting network in Mongolia. We also wish to create a neutral choice which is not influenced by either side and that has excellent news coverage, educational programs and entertainment shows. We want to become the largest television network in the Mongolian mass-media market.

The main objectives of the channel are based on the following priorities:

     •   To adhere to our unique image of being professional, develop special programs on the country’s development and the provision of a wide range of information flow by its effective and intensive broadcasting.
     •   To establish dedicated, well educated technical and professional teams equipped with modern communication technologies.
     •   To deliver information on core, challenging issues related to the country’s growth aimed at intensifying the economic growth, supporting democracy and press freedom.
     •   To broadcast nationwide TV programs with information and knowledge to support and strengthen the nation’s unity.

NTV works towards providing honest, accurate and freshly new information to our respected Mongolian viewers. We plan actions to show our achievements to the society, condemn its mistakes, educate the people with what’s lacking, gain trust from the audience, increase business development and advertise new products and services.
